Trail running with a holiday twist

Step off the pavement and into the holiday spirit! Jingle Trails takes you through the winding dirt trails of McAllister Park in central San Antonio. Expect dirt, roots, rocks, and gravel — this is not a road race. It’s a true trail run, sprinkled with holiday cheer and a cozy finish waiting for you at the end.

Choose Your Adventure

• 20k: Double up on your trail fun with 2 laps on the Blue Loop! Perfect for those training for a longer winter trail race!
• 10K: Test your trail legs on the Blue Loop! Due to current construction, expect a slightly longer course with a short detour.
• 5K: A festive (and rugged) journey through McAllister’s Red Trail.
• Finish Line: All distances overlap on the way back, making the finish line a high-energy holiday reunion!

Please note: distances are estimates and trails courses tend to run long. Think of it as more mileage for your money!

Swag

• Finisher's Medal: All finishers will receive a medal.
• Jingle Trails Mugs: First 200 to pick up at packet pickup.
• Beanies: Several different styles and colors given at packet pickup on a first-come-first-serve basis.
• Packet Pickup: Get to packet pickup early for the best selection of swag!

Race Week Schedule

• Packet Pickup: If you are running the 20k, please plan to pick your packet up prior to race day as you will have an earlier start.
• Location TBD: Wednesday, Dec 9 | 4pm-7pm
• iRun Bitters: 2602 NW Loop 1604 | Thursday, Dec. 10 | 10:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• Race Day: Saturday, Dec. 12 at Optimist Pavilion, McAllister Park | 7:00 – 8:15 AM | Packet Pickup

20k runners will start at 7:30 AM, 10k runners at 8:30 AM, and 5k runners at 8:40 AM.

Awards & Recognition

• Overall Awards: 1st, 2nd, & 3rd (Male & Female) in each distance.
• Masters Awards: 1st, 2nd, & 3rd (Male & Female) in each distance.
• Prizes: 1st place pie and $50 gift certificate to iRun. 2nd place: $35 gift certificate to iRun. 3rd place: $25 gift certificate to iRun.
• All Finishers: Finisher's medal (Note: No age group awards).

Dress Festive

Ugly sweater? Reindeer antlers? Santa hat? Bring it on. The more jingles, the better. This is where holiday cheer meets trail grit.
