Go Hog Wild at the Slice of the Valley Country Ham Festival!

Join us on Saturday, November 7th, for a day of community, fun, and outdoor adventure. Come discover the scenic Jonesville Greenway Trail by participating in our Inaugural 5K or the 1-Mile Hog Wild Fun Run.

Whether you are hitting the trail or cheering from the sidelines, we encourage all runners and spectators to dress up in the festive spirit of the Country Ham Festival! Grab your sneakers, pick out your best costume, and let's go hog wild!

Course Information

• Scenic Trail: Discover a dynamic outdoor experience along the scenic Yadkin River.
• Trail Features: This multi-surface trail features a natural blend of gravel, hard-packed dirt, and seasonal grass.
• Terrain Variety: Enjoy a fun variety of gentle terrain changes and rolling ground levels that keep the journey engaging.
• Finishers Medal: All 5K participants will receive a finishers medal!

Registration

• Registration Deadline: All registrations completed by October 23rd will receive a Hog Wild 5k t-shirt.
• T-Shirt Availability: Any registrations after the deadline, t-shirts will be first come, first serve the day of the race.
• Race Day Registration: Registration on race day is from 8 am to 8:50 am.
• Race Start Time: Race begins with an oink at 9 am.

Awards

• Overall Finishers: Top 3 Male and Female Overall Finishers.
• Masters Finishers: Top 3 Master Male and Female.
• Age Groups: Top 3 in each age group, male and female.
• Costume Contest: Best costume!

All proceeds exceeding our operational costs and 100% of donations will go to a country ham dinner for local families in need during the holidays.
