Dogs Welcome

• Encouraged: Dogs are encouraged to participate.

Time Slots

• Registration: Sign up for a specific time slot during online registration.
• Spacing: Time slots help to space walkers/runners appropriately.
• Missed Slot: Wait at Breck Park to be added to the rotation if you're late.
• Pacing: Ensure social distancing between participants.

• Non-Profit: Friends of the Shelter is an all-volunteer, 501c3 organization.
• Funding Needs: Medical care for sick and injured shelter dogs costs over $200,000 each year.

History of the Event

• Legislation Support: The event started after Councilman Ted Berry was sued for opposing puppy mills.

• 2025 Statistics: Over 489 walkers and 241 dogs raised $18,781 in value.
