5K Color Run/Walk Fundraiser

Event Overview

Help send students on an educational trip of a lifetime! This event will help send multiple students at St. John's Lutheran School overseas in 2027 to England, France, Germany and Switzerland with amazing experiences in London, Paris, the Swiss Alps, a German concentration camp and more!

Event Details

• Date: 2026-08-15
• Location: 13 STONEHENGE, Mattoon, IL
• Course: A partly shaded course with mild rolling hills.
• Participation: Run or walk the 5K and enjoy a supportive environment.

Color Stations

Students will be on the course at the color stations, though you can choose not to be colored.

Timing and Safety

• Timing: The event will be timed for serious runners.
• Awards: There are no official awards or prizes.
• Vehicles: A pace vehicle and sweeper vehicle will be present.
• Volunteers: Volunteers will be on the course to assure participant safety.

Refreshments and Facilities

Post-race refreshments will be provided. However, there will not be restrooms available. Please plan accordingly.

Rain Policy

The race will be postponed until September in the event of heavy rain or thunderstorms.

Donations

Donations towards the trip will be accepted also, if you can't participate or want to provide funds above the race entry cost.
