Kylie’s Journey

• Diagnosis: In early 2018, as a freshman in high school, Kylie Schutzmann was diagnosed with rhabdomyosarcoma, a rare and aggressive form of cancer.
• Initial Fight: After months of treatment, strength, and determination, Kylie and her family finally heard the words everyone hopes for—she was cancer free.
• Current Age: Now at 22 years old, Kylie should be focused on building her future, chasing her dreams, and enjoying life as a young adult.
• Return of Cancer: In October of 2025, during one of her routine annual checkups, doctors noticed something concerning on a scan.

New Treatment

• Heartbreaking News: After additional testing and biopsies, Kylie and her family received heartbreaking news: her cancer had returned after seven years.
• New Plan: After meeting with her medical team and developing a new treatment plan, Kylie was told she would need to begin another eight months of chemotherapy.
• Previous Battles: When Kylie’s mom was pregnant with her, she was diagnosed with cancer and had to give birth early to begin treatment.
• Financial Burden: The emotional weight of this journey is heavy, and the financial burden from repeated treatments has been overwhelming.

Faith and Positivity

• Faith in Jesus: Through it all, Kylie has remained incredibly strong in her faith in Jesus, placing her worries in His hands.
• Inspiration to Others: Her faith and positivity continue to shine through and inspire everyone around her despite the ups and downs throughout treatment.

Financial Support

• Travel and Treatment Costs: Both of Kylie’s parents work in education: however, the financial demands of cancer treatment make this journey more difficult.
• Ongoing Expenses: Kylie must travel about three and a half hours to Spokane for appointments and treatments, accumulating rising costs for gas, hotels, and food.
• Support Request: We are asking for help to support Kylie and her family during this incredibly challenging time.
