After watching the weather closely and out of an abundance of caution for our participants, Thrivers, families, volunteers and sponsors, we have made the difficult decision to postpone tomorrow’s Chicagoland Be A Hero Fun Run & Walk.

Our NEW DATE is: Saturday, October 17, 2026

Let’s take these extra four weeks and make October 17 even bigger than we originally planned.

Welcome to the 6th Annual Chicagoland BE A HERO Fun Run & Walk

• Date: Saturday, October 17, 2026
• Event Type: Family-friendly community event
• Focus: Celebrating those living with metastatic breast cancer
• Purpose: Honoring lost Heroes and funding research

• Location: Settlers’ Park, Plainfield, Illinois
• Check-In Begins: 11:00 AM
• Hero Launch and Fun Run/Walk: Noon
• Distance: Family-friendly one-mile Fun Run and Walk

Why We Walk

• Courage: People living with metastatic breast cancer exhibit immense courage.
• Milestones: We celebrate Thrivers living with cancer for 7, 9, and nearly 10 years.
• Importance: Their courage highlights the necessity of research.
• Action: Each registration and donation contributes to more research funding.
