Event Overview
Join us for the Spook-tacular 5th Annual Somerville Monster Dash 5k. The USATF certified 5k (3.1 mile) Monster Dash course takes place on the DCR walking, running & bike path: Course starts and finishes at Riverfront Park on Great River Road at Assembly Row Somerville MA, and follows along the Mystic River to the underpass boardwalk at Fellsway.
Course Details
- Boardwalk Crossing: After clearing the boardwalk at .3 miles, the course loops the Mystic River along Shore Drive by the Blessing of the Bay Boathouse.
- Paved Path: The course then follows the paved path alongside Route 93N for a half mile.
- Mystic River Crossing: It crosses the Mystic River alongside Rt. 16.
- Park and Finish: The route winds through Torbert Macdonald Park & the Mystic River State Reservation, before returning to the finish line at Riverfront Park.
