Amelia's Voice AW5K

Event Overview

The Amelia's Voice AW5K is a 5k walk/run through the streets of the Village of Oxford. We hold this race every October to raise awareness against domestic violence. Amelia was a beautiful 16-year-old girl who was tragically murdered by her boyfriend on May 3, 2019.

We created Amelia’s Voice Inc. to raise funds and are starting an annual Amelia Wakefield grant fund to help restore hope and assist any needs domestic violence victims may face, allowing them to get free from violence and control. We are Amelia’s voice and will always hold this race and other events to raise funds and awareness to help domestic violence victims.

Course Description

The course starts at Oxford High School:

• Left onto South Washington
• Left onto Chenango St
• Left onto Scott St
• Right onto State St and up the big hill, left onto Grays Heights Rd, follow around and down Park St, right onto South Washington, left onto Alice St, and loop back to South Washington right, then left into the school and across the finish line.
