Have fun while running or walking a beautiful course and raise funds and awareness to eliminate hunger in our community.
Race Info
- Course: The Harvest Classic offers a flat and fast course with scenic views of downtown and Lake Sacajawea.
- Records: Both the 5K and 10K are USA Track & Field certified courses.
- Fun: If you don't care about records, just come and have a good time.
- RaceJoy: Participants can use the RaceJoy application to learn about the city's history along the route.
Event Details and Schedule
- Packet Pick-up: Friday, October 2, 2026, from 9:30 a.m. to noon at the CAP Help Warehouse or on race day from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. at Life Works.
- Race Day: Saturday, October 3, 2026, at Life Works, 906 New York Street, Longview, Washington.
- High School Challenge: 5 Kilometer Race at 8:20 AM (Teams sign up through Athletic.net: link).
- Run/Walk: 5 Kilometer (3.1 Miles) and 10 Kilometer (6.2 Miles) from 8:30 AM to 10:30 AM.
Pee Wee Fun Run
- Time: 9:20 AM – ¼ Mile Pee Wee Fun Run – Free for kids ages 9 and under.
- Activities: The Child & Adolescent Clinic will have games and activities for the kids beginning at 8:30 AM.
- Sponsor: The C&AC is the exclusive sponsor of the Pee Wee Fun Run and event organizer.
- Parking: There is plenty of parking nearby.
Race Course
The Harvest Classic begins at the Life Works building at 906 New York Street in Longview. The course is flat and fast with scenic views of downtown and Lake Sacajawea.
Timing Equipment
Athletic Timing uses Lynx timing equipment. RFID antennas capture your time using disposable chips that are fastened to the back of your racing bib. Take the chips home with you - you will not be asked to return the chips. Wear your bib on the upper chest to maximize the chip reads.
Weather
Weather is usually mild. Race time temperatures are likely to range from the low 40s to mid 50s.
