📋 Race Information
The Harvest Classic offers a flat and fast course with scenic views of downtown and Lake Sacajawea. Come set a new PR and have fun while running or walking a beautiful course and raise funds and awareness to eliminate hunger in our community.
Both the 5K and 10K are USA Track & Field-certified courses, so you know your PR, or your age group record, American Record or World Record (??!!) will be real.
- Course Features: Scenic views of downtown and Lake Sacajawea.
- Event App: Participants can use the RaceJoy application to learn about the city's history along the route.
- Special Events: This year features two unique events.
📅 Event Details and Schedule
Packet Pick-up
- Date: Friday, October 3, 2025
- Location: CAP Help Warehouse at 1526 Commerce Avenue, Longview.
- Time: 9:30 a.m. to noon.
- Alternate Pick-up: Saturday, October 4 between 7:00 a.m. and 8:00 a.m. at Life Works, 906 New York Street, Longview.
Race Day
Date: Saturday, October 4, 2025
Location: Life Works, 906 New York Street, Longview, Washington.
- 8:20 AM: High School Challenge 5 Kilometer Race.
- 8:30 AM - 10:30 AM: 5 Kilometer and 10 Kilometer (6.2 Miles) Run/Walk.
- 9:30 AM: ¼ Mile Pee Wee Fun Run – Free for kids ages 9 and under.
- Sponsor: The Child & Adolescent Clinic will have games and activities for the kids starting at 8:30 AM.
🚗 Parking and Course
- Parking: Plenty of parking nearby.
- Starting Point: The Harvest Classic begins at Life Works, 906 New York Street, Longview.
- Course Type: Flat and fast with scenic views.
- Course Maps: 5K - View Route, 10K - View Route.
⏱️ Timing and Weather
- Timing Equipment: Athletic Timing uses Lynx timing equipment. RFID antennas capture your time.
- Bib Instructions: Wear your bib on the upper chest to maximize chip reads.
- Weather: Mild temperatures expected, ranging from low 40s to mid 50s.
