Race Overview

• Purpose: Have fun while running or walking a beautiful course and raise funds and awareness to eliminate hunger in our community.
• Course: The Harvest Classic offers a flat and fast course with scenic views of downtown and Lake Sacajawea.
• Certification: Both the 5K and 10K are USA Track & Field-certified courses.
• Fun Factor: If you don't care about records, just come and have a good time.

Participants

• App: Participants can use the RaceJoy application to learn about the city's history along the route.
• Special Events: This year we have two special events.

Event Schedule

• Packet Pick-up: - Friday, October 2, 2026, from 9:30 a.m. to noon at CAP Help Warehouse, 1526 Commerce Avenue, Longview. - Saturday, October 3rd, 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. at Life Works, 906 New York Street, Longview.
• Race Day: Saturday, October 3rd, 2026, at Life Works, 906 New York Street, Longview, Washington.
• High School Challenge: 5 Kilometer Race at 8:20 AM (HS Cross Country Team battle). Teams sign up through Athletic.net.
• 5K and 10K: Runs/Walks from 8:30 AM to 10:30 AM.
• Pee Wee Fun Run: 9:20 AM – ¼ Mile Free for kids ages 9 and under. Games and activities starting at 8:30 AM, sponsored by The Child & Adolescent Clinic.

Parking and Course

• Parking: There is plenty of parking nearby.
• Starting Point: The Harvest Classic begins at the Life Works building at 906 New York Street in Longview.
• Course Benefits: The course is flat and fast with scenic views of downtown and Lake Sacajawea.
• Course Maps: 5K, 10K

Timing and Weather

• Timing Equipment: Athletic Timing uses Lynx timing equipment with RFID antennas.
• Chip Information: Disposable chips are fastened to the back of your racing bib: you keep the chips.
• Weather: Mild conditions expected, with temperatures likely ranging from the low 40s to mid 50s.

• Photographer: A photographer will be on hand to capture the event.
