Hero Hustle Sprint Triathlon & Duathlon

Event Overview

The Hero Hustle was created in 2016 as a way to raise money to help support the men and women of the Delaware County fire, ambulance, and law enforcement departments. To date, through the participation of our athletes and the generous contributions of our sponsors, the Hero Hustle has been able to give over $77,000 to the people that are always there to save, serve and protect us.

Race Categories

• Triathlon: A sprint distance triathlon comprising of a 400yd swim, a 16 mile bike ride, and a 5K run.
• Duathlon: Replaces the swim with a one mile run around Schram Pond followed by the same 16 mile bike ride and 5K.
• Team Participation: Athletes can compete as individuals or in a 2-3 person team for the triathlon.
• Individual Event: The duathlon is an individual event.

Course Details

• Swim Course: Held in Schram Pond.
• Bike Course: A 16 mile ride on a public highway with rolling hills for most of the course.
• Run Course: Mostly flat, with one hill to tackle, with the opportunity to run back down.
• Distance: 400yd swim, 16 mile bike ride, and 5K run.

Registration Information

The entry fee will get each athlete their race entry, a race t-shirt, a finisher award, and a timing chip.
