River Roux Olympic Triathlon

Race Overview

• Date: October 10th, 2026
• Location: 211 West Main Street, New Roads, LA
• Race Format: 1.5K swim, 40K bike ride, and 10K run
• Divisions: Aquabike, duathlon, and relay

Finish Fest

• Awards: Ceremony post-race
• Location: Green space across from transition
• Community Engagement: Part of RKF’s mission
• Entries: Limited to 300 competitors

Swimming Details

• Course: Double loop clockwise swim
• Warm-Up: Designated area available starting at 6:45 a.m.
• Safety: Personnel on site: support available with kayaks and paddle boards
• Transition: Exit via gangway to access transition area

Swimming Start

• Self-Seeded Start: Athletes seed based on swim pace
• Entry: One swimmer every 3 seconds
• Time Trial: Swim is a timed start
• Safety: Alert personnel if in distress

Biking Details

• Course: Out-and-back route around False River
• Traffic: Roads remain open: ride safely
• Signage: Course marked with signs and orange marks
• SAG Support: Available for minor mechanical issues

Running Details

• Course: River Roux run course details coming soon!
• Aid Stations: 4-5 stations along the route
• Supplies: Water, Powerade, and variety of gels
