Tri Community Tri

Event Overview

The Tri Community Tri is a multi-distance triathlon in a rural community. The quaint little town of Pima is located in Southeastern Arizona. With a population of about 3000, there are few cars on the road to disturb racers.

Sprint Distance

• Swim: 425 yards lap swim in the public pool located near the center of town.
• Bike: A beautiful 15 mile ride with rolling hills.
• Run: A scenic 5K run through the neighborhoods.
• Awards: Three deep medals for overall male and female winners as well as top three finishers in each 5 year age bracket, male and female.

Super Sprint Distance

• Swim: 125 yard swim following the sprint.
• Bike: A 7 mile bike ride.
• Run: A 1.5 mile run.
• Awards: Three deep medals for overall male and female winners as well as top three finishers in each 5 year age bracket, male and female.

Kids Triathlon

• Swim: 75 yard swim designed for children.
• Bike: A 1.2 mile bike ride.
• Run: A 0.5 mile run.
• Awards: Three deep medals for those under 15 years of age in 5 year age brackets, male and female, and overall male and female winners under age 15.

Community Impact

The Tri Community Tri started as a way to promote health and fitness in our community. Our race is put together completely by volunteers and all proceeds are put back into the race for coming years with the remaining funds donated to the community. The race is a recognized non-profit and all donations are tax deductible. This effort allows for greater opportunity in helping our community.
