Event Overview

• Event Name: Leif's Run
• Date: October 10, 2026
• Location: 915 Main St., Norway, MI
• Race Options: 10K, 5K, and 2-mile fun run

Registration and Event Details

• Check-In: Race day registration and check-in from 7:30-8:30 am in the lobby of the City Hall
• Parking: Available on side streets
• Awards Ceremony: Handed out at 10:30 in the City Band Shell next to the City Hall
• Course Closure: Course will close at 11:00 to open for festival traffic

Race Features

• Timing: 10K and 5K will be chip-timed with race receipts by Tortoise and Hare Timing of Arbor Vitae, WI
• Shirts: Long-sleeve shirts featuring the Viking logo will be provided
• Course Start/Finish: Starts and ends in Downtown Norway in front of the City Hall and City Band Shell
• Awards: Prizes for top finishers (overall male and female for 10K, 5K, and 2-mile), age group awards (10K and 5K), and BEST costume (all races eligible)

Festival Activities

• Entertainment: Music in the City Band Shell after the race
• Festival Highlights: Food vendors, Viking reenactments, fine art show, blacksmith demonstration
• Children's Activities: Various fun activities for kids
• Parade: Crowning of Miss Norway and a parade in the afternoon

Additional Perks

• Viking Bucks: All race participants will receive $5 in Viking Bucks to be used at participating Norway businesses
• Closing Ceremony: The festival will wrap up with a walk for the Viking funeral pyre at Strawberry Lake Park
