Get ready to lace up your running shoes for one of Washington Parish's favorite traditions! Join us for the annual Washington Parish Fair 5K and experience the excitement of racing through the streets of Franklinton before making your way through the heart of the Washington Parish Free Fairgrounds. This year's course will start and finish near the Fair Stage, giving runners a true fair atmosphere from beginning to end.

New This Year

• Chip-Timed Event: Thanks to Washington Parish Tourism, the race will be a chip-timed event, providing official, accurate race results for every participant.
• Limited Spots: The race is limited to 300 runners and walkers, so don’t wait to register!
• Excitement Awaits: We can’t wait to see you at the starting line for another unforgettable morning of running, community, and Washington Parish Fair tradition!

Packet Pickup

We are working to offer a Bib and T-Shirt Pickup before the fair begins to help make race morning even smoother. Follow the Facebook event page for the latest updates and pickup details.

Race Location

Washington Parish Fairgrounds, Franklinton, LA near the main stage

Race Day Schedule

• 7:00 AM: Race Day Packet Pickup Begins
• 7:30 AM: Race Starts (earlier this year to ensure the race is completed before prayer on the Main Stage)

Entry Fees

• $40: through October 1, 2026 (includes race T-shirt)
• $55: from October 2 through October 23, 2026 (includes race T-shirt)
• No Race Day Registration: Registration will not be available on race day.

To be guaranteed a race T-shirt, registration and payment must be received by Friday, October 16, 2026.

Awards

Medals will be presented to the 1st and 2nd place male and female finishers in each of the following divisions:

• Overall Male
• Overall Female
• 10 & Under
• 11 to 14
• 15 to 19
• 20 to 29
• 30 to 39
• 40 to 49
• 50 to 59
• 60 to 69
• 70 & Over

Registration Policy

Washington Parish Fair 5K registration fees are non-refundable and non-transferable. Once your registration has been received and accepted, no refunds will be issued if you are unable to participate for any reason. Race entries may not be transferred, sold, or assigned to another participant, and registrations cannot be deferred or transferred to a future event.

In the event the Washington Parish Fair 5K is postponed, canceled, or modified by the event organizers or due to circumstances beyond the organizers' control, including but not limited to severe weather, natural disasters, public health concerns, or directives from local, state, or federal authorities, all registration fees will remain non-refundable.
