Marauder Trotter 5K Run/Walk

🎉 Event Overview

We are excited to announce that the 11th Annual Marauder Trotter 5k Run/Walk will be held on July 5, 2025 at 9 a.m. at Wright Park in Dunkirk, New York.

💖 Purpose

• Beneficiary: Race proceeds will support the DHS Class of 1989 Memorial Scholarship Fund (managed by NCCF) in honor of their deceased classmates.
• In Memoriam: Paula Kuschel, Jennifer Styborski, Jody Wdowiasz, Michael Koch, Robert Pierce, James Kulpa, Susan Butts, Elizabeth Barnes, Tony Quiles, Susan Stoyle (Gorka), Scott Roesler, Todd Iskra, Paul Szach, Joe Pieszak, John Gizowski, Tammy Crawford, Corey Marshall, Jodie Wickham (Santiago), David Lukasik, Tom Wickham, Gloria Fred, Blanca Nieves, Conley Coleman, Gilberto Rosas and James Jaffray.

📍 Location and Course

• Start/End: Wright Park, 1 Wright Park Dr., Dunkirk, NY 14048
• 5K Course: The course will cover the Dunkirk Lakefront between Wright Park and Memorial Park

👥 Categories and Age Groups

• Participants: Male and Female
• Age Groups: 14 & under, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, & 70 & Older

💵 Registration Costs

• Adult: $25.00
• Student: $20.00

🏆 Awards

• Top Finishers: $100.00 Cash to the top male and female first place run finishers
• Additional Awards: Awards will be given to the overall first place Male and Female winners in the run and top 3 finishers in the age group in the walk and the run.

👕 T-shirts

T-shirts will come with your race registration if you register by June 27, 2025.

🗓️ Registration Details

• Deadline for T-shirt: Please register by June 28, 2024 for a T-shirt.
• Online Registration: Closes July 2, 2025 at 11:59 p.m.
• Day of Race: 7:30 - 8:30 a.m. - $30 (no T-shirt)

🗺️ Race Route Description

It begins at Wright Park. You follow Lake Front BLVD. At the end of Lake Front BLVD you will enter a path that goes by the water front. At the end of the path you will make a right and go around the pier. Once you go around the pier you will make a right onto a path that will go around Memorial Park. You will loop around Memorial Park, make a right back onto the path. You will go straight across the pier to the original path you were on. Take that path back to Lake Front BLVD. Take Lake Front BLVD back to Wright Park for the finish!
