Race Overview

• Event Description: Join the fun Sunday, May 3, 2026. Gather with your friends, neighbors, and family for a run or walk featuring beautiful Candler Park neighborhood streets and the Freedom Park Path. All proceeds from the event benefit the Mary Lin Elementary PTO.

Start/Finish Location

• Location: The 5K and 1 Mile Fun Run start and finish at Mary Lin Elementary School (586 Candler Park Dr NE Atlanta, GA 30307).

Course Information

• Course Time Limit: 5K - 59 minutes (19 minute/mile pace), Fun Run - 30 minutes (30 minutes/mile)
• 5K Age Guidelines: 5K participants under the age of 8 must be accompanied by parent or other responsible adult while on the course
• Pets: Pets are not allowed on the course at any time

Event Details

• Shirts: Limited Edition 2026 Rocket Run Shirts available to participants who register prior to April 17th (T-shirt availability and sizing are not guaranteed for participants registering after April 17th)
• Starting Times: Family friendly start time - 5K - 8:00 AM, 1 Mile - 9:00 AM
• Participants: Runners, Walkers, and Strollers welcome
• Qualifier: AJC Peachtree Road Race Qualifier

• 7:00 AM: Race Day Number Pick-Up & Registration opens
• 8:45 AM: Race Day Number pick-up & Registration closes
• 8:00 AM: Rocket Run 5K start
• 9:00 AM: 1 Mile Fun Run start
• 9:30 AM: 5K Awards
