Shiitake 5K Run/Walk

Race Overview

Come join us for our annual Shiitake 5k on October 17th, 2026 in Madisonville, TX. The race course will be at Lake Madison with a start time of 8:30am. We will release the 5k course a month prior to the event. This is a chip timed event.

Registration Details

• Cost: $45/person until October 3rd, 2025
• Late Registration: $50/person until 8:00am the day of the race
• Packet Pick-Up: Friday evening, October 16th, starting at 6pm - 7pm in the Truman Kimbro Center, 113 W Trinity
• Morning Pick Up: Packets will also be available for pick up on the morning of the race

Kids Participation

Don't forget about our Lil' Shiitake Kids Mile with a start time of 9:30am, registration fee is $10.00/child. This event is for the whole family.

Participant Benefits

• T-Shirt: Every participant will receive a t-shirt if registered by September 18th, 2025
• Availability: Participants registered after September 18th, 2025 are NOT guaranteed a t-shirt
• Medal: Every participant of 5k will receive a medal

• Top Overall Female
• Top Overall Male
• Age 13 - 18: 1st, 2nd & 3rd
• Age 19 - 39: 1st, 2nd & 3rd
• Age 40 - 60: 1st, 2nd & 3rd
• Age 61+: 1st, 2nd & 3rd
