Trailblazer Trot 5K and The Monster Mile

Event Overview

Welcome to the 5th Annual Trailblazer Trot 5K & Monster Mile, happening Saturday, October 17, 2026 at Culpeper County High School!

Event Purpose

• Community Focus: Five years ago, we started this event with a simple goal: bring our community together, have a little fall fun, and make a difference for the students of the Culpeper Technical Education Center (CTEC).
• Celebration: As we celebrate this special 5th anniversary, we’re incredibly grateful for every runner, walker, volunteer, sponsor, family member, and friend who has helped make the Trailblazer Trot a tradition.
• Impact: Every step helps a Trailblazer take their next step. ❤️
• Scholarships: Proceeds from race registrations help provide scholarships for CTEC students as they continue their journeys to college, trade school, and career training.

Race Details

• Monster Mile Timing: Fun Run/Walk at 8:00 AM
• 5K Timing: Trailblazer Trot 5K at 8:30 AM
• Costumes: Since October wouldn’t be complete without a little Halloween fun, costumes are encouraged for both races!
• Awards: Awards will be presented immediately following the 5K.

As we cross the starting line on our 5th year, we’re celebrating much more than a race. We’re celebrating five years of community, opportunity, encouragement, and believing in the futures of CTEC students.
