Frozen Hare 2

Event Overview

Welcome to the Frozen Hare 2 Swim and TriFest, the final event of our Frozen Hare Series!

Event headquarters will be at Lawrence Park Swim Club, at 293 Langford Rd., Broomall, PA 19008. This is an outdoor heated 25 meter pool. Pool is generally heated to 81F or warmer.

Event Options

You’ll have the choice of the following events:

• SwimFest: 5K, 1K pool swims.
• Run: Open 3 Mile run.
• TriFest: Various aquathlon and triathlon options.
• Kid's Options: Including a 300m swim, 1 Mile run for kids.

Schedule

Our first swim heat will begin at 8:30AM, and heats will continue until 3:00PM (3:30 last finish).

• Arrive Early: Please arrive at least 30-45 minutes prior to your assigned start time.
• Email Notification: Start times and lane assignments will be emailed out Friday morning prior to the race.
• Lane Sharing: Swimmers may be required to share a lane with another swimmer.
• Completion Deadline: Everyone must complete all legs by 3:30PM at the latest.

Self-Support and Course Navigation

PLEASE NOTE THAT BIKE AND RUN LEGS ARE 100% SELF SUPPORTED.

• Traffic Control: No traffic control will be provided.
• Course Familiarity: Cyclists should bring GPS directions or be familiar with the roads.
• Stationary Ride Option: Cycling segments may be substituted for a stationary ride.
• Self Reporting: Times for cycling and running portions should be self-reported.

Awards and Registration

All racers will receive a race t-shirt (provided entry is received by 1/26), and a custom French Creek Racing award based on their finish place.

• Awards: Custom awards for top 3 overall and in each age group, in each event.
• Registration: Pre-registration is strongly advised: arrive at least 30 minutes prior to your assigned wave time.
• Swim Caps: Optional for the swim leg.
• Wave Times: Wave times may be adjusted 15-30 minutes to accommodate the most swimmers.

Refunds and Deferrals

REFUNDS/DEFERRALS: No refunds will be issued. Bib transfers to non-registered people are NOT permitted.

• Deferral Requests: Must be made at least 14 days prior to the event.
• Transfer Fee: A nominal fee shall apply for transfers to another event.

DIRECTIONS/PARKING: For GPS directions, use the address: 293 Langford Rd., Broomall, PA 19008. There is plenty of parking on site.
