Dino Days Jamboree 5K

Race Overview

The 1st annual Dino Days Jamboree 5K race takes place on a scenic, point-to-point course during the peak of autumn. It starts on the corner of Walnut & Vernon in Glen Rose, Texas and will wind through neighborhoods along the Paluxy River until you reach the Sonic back entrance and then work your way back to the Square.

• T-shirt: Delivered on day of race.
• DINO STAMPEDE: Join us for a run around the square in anything DINOSAUR.
• Dress Up: Wear your 5K shirt or come in costume to keep the legs pumping.
• Festivities: Live music, food and retail vendors will be available.

This kicks off the remainder of DINO DAYS JAMBOREE. Don’t miss the DINO DUCK DERBY in the river on Sunday!

Funding Purpose

Extra funds for this event are being directed to the City of Glen Rose Pedestrian Bridge to be built across the Paluxy River joining the Stephen Gibbs/Heritage Park with the Downtown Square.

Event Details and Schedule

• Parking: Available all around the outer parking lots near the square.
• Registration Table: Located at the OLD CITY Hall at 201 NE Vernon Street.
• Race Start: Corner of Vernon & Walnut. Follow Vernon to Mustang Street and turn right.
• Course Details: Take Mustang towards the river, cross Barnard St, turn left at Grace St, and follow the river back to the square.
