Museum of Aviation Marathon, Half Marathon & 5K and Hand Cycle Race

Race Overview

The 31st Annual Museum of Aviation Foundation Marathon, Half-Marathon, 5K Run/Walk, and Para Athletes Race will be held at the Museum of Aviation on Saturday, January 30, 2027. The races will be ran on Robins Air Force Base next to the Museum of Aviation and are part of the 2027 Run & See Georgia Grand Prix Series.

The marathon course is USA Track and Field certified (Boston Marathon qualifier). The half marathon is also USA Track and Field certified. Proceeds from the growing annual event benefit the Museum of Aviation, one of the largest aviation museums in the country.

Awards

• Top Finishers: Awards are given to the overall top three male and female finishers in each race.
• Top Masters: Overall top three male and female masters in each race will also receive awards.
• Active Duty Military: Top active duty military male and female only in the marathon will be recognized.
• Age Categories: Top three finishers in age categories will receive awards.

Only Marathon and Half Marathon runners will receive a finisher’s medal.

Registration Information

• Registration Deadline: Registration for in-person events will end on Sunday, January 24 at 11:59 PM. There will be no walk-up registration.
• Shirt Guarantee: Participants who register by December 31st are guaranteed a shirt on race day. Those registered after December 31st are not guaranteed a shirt.
• Packet Pickup: Race packets will be available for pickup on Friday, January 29, 2027, from 2-4:30 PM and on Saturday, January 30 starting at 7 AM.
• Responsibility: Registered runners are solely responsible for their packet pickup and race start time.

Virtual Race Options

• Registration: Virtual race options will be offered for those unable to attend the in-person event.
• T-Shirt and Packet: Virtual participants will receive a T-shirt and race packet if registered by December 31, 2026.
• Packet Pickup: Virtual packets can be picked up on Friday, January 29, between 2:00 and 4:00 PM at the Museum Century of Flight Hangar.
• Mailing Option: If you wish to have your race packets mailed to you, there will be a postage fee required at the time you register for the race.

Race packets will be mailed within two weeks after the race. Please do not opt out of receiving emails from this race because important information will be sent out prior to the start of the event. Please make sure your address is current in your RunSignUp account.

Important Note

IMPORTANT:
Because the races are run on Robins Air Force Base, all runners are REQUIRED to show a valid ID when picking up race packets. “By providing information required for sign up, you acknowledge and agree to the use of your information for a Criminal Background Check to verify your identity, in accordance with United States Air Force Instruction 31-118, Installation Access and Control, and Robins Air Force Base Instruction 31-101, Installation Defense Plan.”

Race Day Timeline

• 7:50 AM: MARATHON HAND CYCLES and PARA ATHLETES
• 8:00 AM: MARATHON (6 HOUR CUTOFF)
• 8:15 AM: HALF MARATHON
• 8:30 AM: 5K
