18th Annual Athens Turkey Trot on November 26th, 2026

Join us on Thanksgiving morning for the 18th Annual Athens Turkey Trot!

Turkey-calling runners and walkers of all abilities! Come join other members of the Athens community for the annual pre-food coma tradition! Enjoy a flat, out-and-back course on the Hockhocking Adena Bikeway along the scenic tree-lined Hocking River. This year’s race will feature official chip timing and the option to purchase a commemorative t-shirt as part of your race registration.

Registration Details

• Registration Deadline: Last day to register and guarantee a shirt is Nov. 19!
• Race Day Registration: Don't worry, we offer race-day registration up until 30 minutes before the race!
• Race Start Time: 8:30 a.m.
• Location: West State Street Park, Athens, Ohio

Race Day Information

• Check-In: Race Day Registration/Check-In from 7:00-8:00AM @ Fenway Park Shelter House.
• Packet Pickup: Pre-Race Packet Pickup/Registration on November 25th from 4:00-6:30PM @ Ohio Valley Running Company.
• Prizes: Pumpkin pies will be awarded to the top three finishers in each gender category and top three in ages 12 and under category.
• Parking: Main parking at West State Ball Fields, no vehicles beyond the circle. Additional parking option at Ohio Means Jobs on Union Street.

Additional Information

The race is organized by the Athens Athletics Club (AAC), a 501(c)3 Athens-based nonprofit organization that supports the development of Athens Bulldogs cross country and track & field athletes. AAC is an affiliate member of the Road Runners Club of America. All funds collected from the Athens Turkey Trot goes to the AAC and will be utilized to support the Athens Bulldog XC and Track teams.
