Santa's Fun Run

Event Overview

Join us for our Santa's Fun Run! This event will include a 5K and a Kid's Dash (0.5 miles). The 5K will be chip timed and will start and finish at the Olson Cultural Event Center in downtown Le Mars and will lead you through residential Le Mars and onto our recreation trail. The Kids Dash will start just before the 5K. The kids will run 0.5 miles, out-and-back. (not chip-timed)

Attire and Decorations

We encourage racers and walkers to dress up in your 'Santa Suit', ugly Christmas sweater, festive socks or any other holiday attire. Stay after the race for awards: 1st - 3rd place in all age divisions and BEST DRESSED AWARD!.

Safety Information

• Traffic: Streets will not be closed. Volunteers will be assisting with directing traffic.
• Headphones: Ear buds & headphones are not recommended: use at your own risk.
• Children: Young kids must run with a responsible adult (for 5K).
• Pets: No dogs allowed.

Registration Fees

• REGISTER BY November 15: 5K: $35
• REGISTER November 16-27: 5K: $40
• DAY OF REGISTRATION: 5K: $45
• KIDS DASH: $10

Packet Pickup and Awards

Packet pickup will take place Saturday, November 28th from 8:00-9:30 AM at the KC Hall. Day of registrations will be accepted during this time, but holiday swag is not guaranteed.

Awards will take place on the stage at the Olson Cultural Center Event Center, determined by weather, at approximately 11:00 AM. Awards are given to the top 3 overall males and top 3 overall females for the 5K and Kid's Dash. Additionally, certificates are awarded to the top three males and females in each age group category. There will also be 2 prizes for BEST DRESSED!
