Rapides Junior Runners Fall Series Race 3

Race Overview

The Rapides Junior Runners Fall Series provides 4 races in late August through October for kids aged 3 to Junior High.

• Ages 3-5: Runs a short distance for a Fun Run.
• Ages 6-11: Runs 1 mile.
• Ages 12-14: Will run 2 miles.

Registration Information

One-mile participants may register via runsignup.com. No race day registration will be available. One registration is good for the entire season.

• Registration Open: Will open again the day after each race to accommodate late registrants.
• Two-mile Registration: Participants can register as individuals via runsignup.com or through their Junior High School coach.

Course Details

The course is a true cross-country course, closed to traffic and utilizes the grounds of Ward 9 Sports Complex, 3311 Donahue Ferry Road, Pineville.

• Chipped Bib: Each participant receives a chipped bib to be kept and reused at each race.
• Replacement Bib: Available for purchase at the race venue for a cost of $10 if misplaced.

Awards

Every one mile and Fun Run finisher will receive a medal at the finish line each race.

• Awards Presentation: Will take place following the conclusion of the 1 mile race.
• Categories: Male and female top three for each age category from 6 years to 11 years.
• Team Awards: Two-mile team competitors will receive team awards.

2026 Fall Series Schedule

For all scheduled races:

• 2 Mile: Runs first at 7:45 am.
• 5 and under Fun Run: At approximately 8:15 am.
• 1 Mile Run: At approximately 8:30 am with awards following the conclusion of the race.
• Arrival: Please be at the race site at least 15 minutes prior to the listed race times.

Important Dates

• August 26, 2026 - 4:00-6:00 pm: Course survey, in-person registration, and packet pick-up at Ward 9 Sportsplex, Pineville, LA.
• August 29 - Race 1
• September 12 - Race 2
• October 17 - Race 3
• October 31 - Race 4
• November 7 - Louisiana State Championship race for 1 and 2 milers (requires an additional $15 registration - optional).
