Event Overview

• Join Us: Please join us for the 44th Annual Newtown 5K! Please bring a canned-good or non-perishable item to help stock the food pantry at IPM (Inter-Parish Ministries).

• Location: Moundview Park, 3130 Newtown Road, Newtown, OH.

Course Information

• Distance: 3.1 miles over residential streets.
• Terrain: Relatively flat course with splits at every mile.
• Facilities: First aid and water stations will be available on the course.
• Start/Finish: Begins and ends at Moundview Park. Scroll down for the course map.

Divisions

• Age Groups for Runners: Male and female divisions include 10 & under, 11-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70 and over.
• Age Groups for Walkers: Male and female divisions include 29 and under, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, and 80 and over.
• Walkers Start: Note: If you sign up as a walker, you must start with the walkers and walk the entire distance (No running allowed).
• Corporate Team Competition: Separate award given for corporate teams. Top 3 finishers score based on total team time.

Awards

• Overall Awards: Special awards for the overall male and female runner and walker, and the first Newtown male and female runner and walker.
• Age Group Awards: Given to top male and female finishers in all run and walk divisions.
• Additional Awards: Awards for corporate and school team competition and top Newtown residents.
• Awards Ceremony: Awards Ceremony will be held after the race.

Kids Fun Run

• Overview: Free kids fun runs will occur after the 5K. No advanced signup necessary.
• Categories: Kids 5 and under will race across the field, and elementary kids will race approximately 1000m around the park.
• Volunteers: Volunteers will line the course to direct runners.
• Participation: All children are welcome to join the fun!

Race Details

• Chip Timing: This year's race will be chip-timed with Ipico shoe tags. You must have a tag to receive a time.
• Pre-Registration Cost: Online Pre-registration is $30 for individuals through Sunday, August 2, 2026.
• Late Registration: Online Late registration available from August 3 through race day for $35.
• T-Shirts: Race t-shirts available for $10 while supplies last.

Check-in Information

• Packet Pickup: Early Check-in and Packet Pickup will be at Tri State Running Company, 7433 Wooster Pike, Cincinnati, OH 45227.
• Race-Day Check-in: From 7:00 am - 8:15 am at Moundview Park.
• Refunds: No refunds will be given.
• Directions: Moundview Park, 45244: Detailed driving instructions provided.

Parking

• Available Parking: You can park in the field at the park.
• Road Closure: The road leading to the park will be closed at 8:15 a.m.: plan accordingly.
• Additional Parking: For 2026, you may also park at St. John Fisher Church.

• Community Support: We will be collecting canned goods for Inter Parish Ministries in Newtown.
