Event Overview

• Join Us: Please join us for the 44th Annual Newtown 5K!
• Donation: Please bring a canned-good or non-perishable item to help stock the food pantry at IPM (Inter-Parish Ministries).

Location

• Venue: Moundview Park, 3130 Newtown Road, Newtown, OH.
• Organized By: Turpin Cross Country.
• Course: 3.1 miles over residential streets, relatively flat, with splits at every mile.

Participation Divisions

• Runners: Male and female divisions for age groups: 10 & under, 11-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70 and over.
• Walkers: Male and female divisions for age groups: 29 and under, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, 80 and over.
• Walkers Start: Will have a separate start: walking only—no running.

Corporate and School Team Competition

• Awards: A separate award will be for corporate team competition. Top 3 finishers will score.
• Sponsorship: Corporate team sponsorship of $200 for up to seven runners, including T-shirts.
• School Team: Enter your school: top five finishers score.

Awards

• Overall Winners: Special awards for overall male and female runner and walker.
• Age Group: Awards for top male and female finishers in all run and walk divisions.
• Local Recognition: Awards for Corporate and School team competitions and top Newtown residents.
• Ceremony: Awards Ceremony will be held after the race.

Kids Fun Run

• Free Event: Fun run after the 5K: no advanced signup necessary.
• Age Groups: Kids 5 and under race across the field: elementary kids race approximately 1000m.

Results and Timing

• Race Results: Posted online at www.Runningtime.net following the race.
• Chip Timing: Event will be chip-timed. Tags will be distributed on race-day: you must return tags to re-use.

Registration Information

• Pre-Registration Cost: $30 through August 2, 2026: $35 after.
• Late Registration: Available from August 3 to race day for $35.
• Online Only: All registrations for 2026 will be done online, including race day.

T-Shirts and Registration

• Availability: Race t-shirts for $10 while supplies last.
• Online Registration: Available through race day: no on-site registration.

Check-in Details

• Early Check-in: Tri State Running Company on Thursday, August 6 and Friday, August 7.
• Race-Day Check-in: From 7:00 am to 8:15 am at Moundview Park.

Parking and Directions

• Location: Moundview Park, 45244: directions provided via common routes.
• Parking: Available in the park field and at St. John Fisher Church.

Donations

• Community Support: We will be collecting canned goods for Inter Parish Ministries in Newtown.
