About this race
Celebrate 30 years of the Chief Joseph Run! Join us on July 4th for this Laurel tradition, bringing runners and families together for a fun and memorable Independence Day morning.
The race begins at Thomson Park on 6th Street, winds through the scenic hills north of Laurel, and returns to the park. Choose the distance that’s right for you:
2-Mile Run
4-Mile Run
8-Mile Run
Please note: The 8-mile race begins at 6:30 AM, while the 2-mile and 4-mile races will begin at 7:00 AM.
T-Shirt Deadline
Register by June 20, 2027 to guarantee your race T-shirt.
Packet Pick-Up
Please pick up your race packet in advance, if at all possible:
