Run Like Jio Memorial 5k Walk / Run

Turning Love Into a Lasting Legacy

The Jovani Major “Jio” Annual Memorial 5K Walk & Run is more than an event—it is a celebration of Jio’s life, a tribute to the love he shared, and a promise to carry his legacy forward.

Through every step, we honor his extraordinary spirit by creating hope and opportunity for others.

Jio believed in friendship, kindness, laughter, and the power of bringing people together. He had a gift for inspiring and uplifting everyone around him, leaving an unforgettable mark on the hearts of those who knew him.

Through this annual event, we are working to establish the Live, Love, Laugh, Like Jio Legacy Foundation, Inc., helping deserving students pursue their educational dreams, overcome obstacles, and reach their full potential.

Proceeds will also support charitable organizations whose missions reflect the compassion, generosity, and joyful spirit that defined Jio’s life.

In this way, his impact will continue to grow— touching lives, strengthening communities, and opening doors for others.

We invite you to become part of this lasting legacy. Register to walk or run, make a donation, or sponsor the event.

Every contribution, no matter the size, helps transform remembrance into action and grief into purpose.

Every Step Makes a Difference

Every registration honors Jio.

Every donation creates possibility.

Every sponsorship helps keep his light shining.

Although Jio’s life tragically ended at just 20 years old, the love he gave and the lives he touched will continue inspiring others for generations to come.

Together, we can ensure that his story does not end— it continues through every student supported, every life changed, and every person brought together in his name.

We walk for his memory.
We run in his honor.
We give so his legacy lives on.
