About this race
From reading the Night before Christmas, building snowmen, and warming up hot cocoa and cookies, to warm dinners with families and friends, we all have our favorite holiday traditions. This year we're adding a new one for all of your friends and families to add to the list, the first-ever Black Hills Running Company's Winter Runderland. Join us as we celebrate and enjoy Storybook Island's Christmas Nights of Light and FUN-Runraise for Storybook Island. On December 10th, join us as we leave Black Hills Running Company at 5:30 PM and run along the City Bike Path and through Storybook Island as it's lit up for the holidays! This is a special event, and the only people allowed in the park will be those who participate and pre-register. The course from Black Hills Running Company will be a 4.75 mile, no-drop loop, but there will be a shorter route, beginning at 5:55 PM from Sioux Park. Registration is $20 and includes race swag, and other holiday goodies, as well as a family-friendly after (warm-up) party at Black Hills Running Company! Don't miss this great opportunity to enjoy a great evening with the park closed to the general public, snap some new selfies, and profile pictures with all your friends and family without the crowds! All ages and abilities are welcome and encouraged to join us for the season's best new holiday tradition!
All proceeds will be donated to Storybook Island.
*Please note, this is a run-through of the park and holiday lights only - the Storybook Island Train, Carousel, and concession stands will not be operating during this event.
