About this race
Twentieth Annual Jemez Mountain Trail Runs (JMTR)
50 mile, 50k and 15 mile
Saturday, May 15, 2027
The Jemez Mountain Trail Runs take place in the Jemez Mountains of northern New Mexico. The races distances are 15 mile, 50k, and 50 mile, each starting and ending in the town of Los Alamos, at the Sheriff's Posse Lodge. The Jemez Mountains Trail Runs have gained reputations as challenging trail courses: each course includes technical trails with a substantial amount of elevation change. The 50k and 50 mile events include extremely steep climbs and descents on very technical terrain. Runners will experience high altitude (from 7,000 feet to over 10,000 feet above sea level) and in past years, runners have experienced weather extremes including heat, cold, rain, hail, snow, lightning, and heavy winds.
