Event Overview

• Annual Event: This is the 7th annual Pony Express Half Marathon & 5K.
• Conjunction: Held alongside the Pony Express 120 Gravel Dash (120 mile bike race).
• Race Experience: Run through the paved and brick streets of Marysville.
• Trail: Portions include the beautiful Blue River Rail Trail.

Course Details

• Scenic Route: A retired railroad bed alongside the Big Blue River.
• Landscapes: Cross bridges with views of limestone outcrops, grass-covered bluffs, and open farm fields.
• Aid Stations: Water stations will be periodically located along the route.
• Training: This race is excellent for runners preparing for a fall marathon.

Race Schedule

• Start Times: Half marathon begins at 8:00 a.m.: 5K Run at 8:15 a.m.
• Location: Both races start at 7th & Broadway in downtown Marysville.
• Runners’ Perks: Each runner receives a race t-shirt: half marathon runners receive a finisher medal.
• Awards: Top overall winners will receive awards after the races.

Event Activities

• Cheer on Cyclists: Support participants in the Pony Express 120 Gravel Dash starting at 7:30 a.m.
• Ongoing Fun: Enjoy various activities throughout the day in downtown Marysville.
• Refreshments: Food and drink will be abundant during the events.

• Registration Deadline: September 5th at 11 p.m.
• Shirt Guarantee: Register before September 5th to ensure a shirt.
• No Same-Day Registration: There will be NO same-day registration and NO refunds.
