Poultry and Pie Predictor 4 Mile Run/Walk and 1 Mile Kids Run

Race Overview

A Will County Thanksgiving tradition for more than 40 years! Join Prairie State Road Runners for another running of the Poultry & Pie Predictor on Thanksgiving morning in beautiful Pilcher Park located in Joliet, IL. We are back at the Horticultural Center!

Race Details

• Prediction Run: Leave your watches and timing devices at home! This is a prediction run.
• Chance to Win: All runners - regardless of speed - have a chance to win a Thanksgiving prize!
• Focus on Enjoyment: Refrain from using watches, phones, music players, or anything that will help you keep pace.
• Participation: Just enjoy the park scenery.

Kids Races

• 1 Mile Kids Race: Will start at 8:40 am for kids ages 6-12.
• Goodies for Finishers: Each finisher will receive a goodie.
• Toddler Gobbler Dash: Age 5 & under can participate in the 25-yd Toddler Gobbler dash, which is FREE.
• Goodies for Toddlers: Each little champion will receive a bag of goodies.

Logistics and Registration

• Location: All races start and end at the Barber & Oberwortmann Horticultural Center (227 N. Gougar Rd) in Joliet.
• No Race Day Registration: Please use our online registration service.
• Parking: VERY limited, so plan to carpool and/or arrive early for the best spots.
• Participant Limit: The 4 mile predictor race is limited to 250 participants.

• Weather: This event will take place rain or shine.
• No Refunds: No refunds will be issued.
• Refreshments: Snacks and refreshments will be provided.

Schedule of Events

• 7:45am - 8:45am: Check-In
• 8:40am: Kids 1 Mile
• 9:00am: 4 Mile Run/Walk
• 10:20am: Toddler Gobbler 25 Yard Dash
• 10:45am: Awards Ceremony

Timing Information

This is NOT a chipped time race. This race will be hand-timed. Results will not be immediately available online, but will be posted at a later time.
