Race Overview

REaDy to Run 5K Run/Walk is a family-friendly community run/walk for men, women, and children. The race also features a virtual option. Runners, joggers, and walkers enjoy a healthy, fun-filled event while supporting a worthy cause. Join us as we celebrate our 5 year anniversary!!

Beneficiaries

• Girls of Excellence: A program engaged in life changing experiences, field trips, conferences, events, and workshops.
• Hope Floats Foundation: Partners with swim schools to provide scholarships for swim lessons to children living in poverty.
• Community Support: Both proceeds benefit Girls of Excellence and Hope Floats Foundation.
• Empowerment: These organizations are dedicated to supporting children's journeys.

REaDy to Run 5K Run/Walk is sponsored by Marietta-Roswell Alumnae Chapter (MRAC) of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated. MRAC is committed to providing public service programming that impacts its Cobb, Cherokee, and North Fulton County service area.

Course Details

• Certification: This USATF-Certified 5K course has many flat sections with a few gentle slopes.
• Qualifier: This course serves as a qualifier for AJC Peachtree Road Race. (Cert number GA23014DJ)
• Restrictions: No strollers or pets allowed.
• Time Limit: 5K - 1 hour and 15 minutes.

Timing

• Timing Device: This event is timed by RFID timing from Performance Race Services.
• Visible Bib: Please ensure your bib is clearly visible on the front of the torso.
• Unaltered Bib: The bib must be unaltered and pinned in all four corners.
• Results: Results are published live within a few minutes of completion.

Virtual Option

Run or walk a 5K (3.1 miles) on your favorite course or treadmill the week of the race. Virtual 5K participants receive a finisher medal by mail prior to race day.

Awards & Event Swag

• Overall Awards: Awards for Male and Female overall winners.
• Event Swag: Short-sleeve T-shirt or tank. T-shirt/tank sizes cannot be guaranteed for registrations after March 30, 2026.
• Finisher Medal: All participants will receive a finisher medal.
• Race Photos: FREE race photos for participants.

All registrations are final and non-transferable.
