Date and Start Times

• Date: Sunday, Dec. 28, 2025
• 8:00 am: Half Marathon Start
• 8:15 am: Kid's Dash
• 8:30 am: 5k/10K Mass Start

Early Packet Pick-Up

We encourage you to pick up the day prior.

• Date & Time: Saturday, December 27th, 11 am to 2 pm
• Location: Road Runner Sports in Newport Beach 1835 Newport Blvd, Costa Mesa, CA 92627
• Packet pick-up: is optional, so if you cannot make it- don’t worry. Packets can be picked up on race day starting at 7 am in LOT 25. The gates to the STATE PARK open at 6 am.

New Year Resolution

Write a New Year resolution on the back of your bib and RUN, JOG, or WALK it into the new year.

Race Course

The course is the flat and fast, paved, wide State Park path, watching and listening to the surf! Whether an avid runner, jogger, first-timer, or walker, we are the something for every BODY & EVERYBODY best-themed race! Bring family and friends, or just yourself and shoes! Let’s get 2024 off and RUNNING.

Post-Race Celebration

Make it a Post-race 5K/10K resolution party! Beach balls, New Year’s Beanies, & party Champagne glasses will be for sale at the t-shirt table.

Gear Check

GEAR CHECK is available, if needed, at the Caren Ware Events BOOTH. Put your bib number on a tag and pin it to your gear.

Timing and Awards

Professionally CHIP timed event by ITZ ABOUT TIME. Age division awards galore!

Entrance Information

The event is in the farthest western lot- Lot 25, closest to Warner & PCH. To enter the park use the following address: 17851 Pacific Coast Hwy.

• Entrance Fee: BRING $15 CASH (or a park pass) to make the gate line proceed quickly. Credit cards slow the process.
• Parking: FREE OR METERED PARKING is available behind the Jack and the Box (corner of Warner and PCH) and is an easy walk in. DO NOT PARK in the shopping lot or at the gas station.

Race Day Schedule

• 6:00 am: Gates Open
• 7:00 am: Race Day Packet Pick-Up Begins (Lot 25)
• 7:30 am: Half Marathon Start for those that will take more than 3 hours and 45 minutes to finish
• 8:00 am: Half Marathon Start (Must cross the starting arch by 8:05 am)

All runners must pass under the starting arch as per their designated time. Make sure you wear your bib on the front and run the distance on your bib or exchange it for the correct one if necessary at the Solutions/Late registration table.

Awards

There are “In It To Win It” age categories 3 deep with 5 year age spans: 1-10, 11-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80-84 and 85 & over.

Course Details

This 5K/10K course runs along the beach bike path at Bolsa Chica, Huntington Beach State Beach. Families can bring strollers but use at their own risk. Half Marathon Course is flat and fast, perfect for PRs or training for your next marathon. It consists of two loops of the 10K, with plenty of aid stations and entertainment.

• Water/Gatorade: Available every 1.5 miles
• Food: Chargel/Bananas offered on the course

FLAT!!! Great for first-time Half Marathoners or those wanting to PR! Half Marathon Spectators can cheer at the finish line and then move towards the second loop of the runners.

Restroom Facilities

Restrooms on RACE DAY are located at each end of the parking lot, near Sea Legs (east) and Warner Blvd (west).
