SARR Freedom Day Run-4-Miler, 2-Miler & Li'l Firecrackers Kids Run

Event Overview

Running=Freedom. Come celebrate your freedom with the San Antonio RoadRunners for our traditional 4-Miler on the 4th of July. Wear your best Red, White, and Blue for the Freedom Day 4-Miler, 2-Miler, and Li’l Firecrackers Kids Run.

Race Options

• Live Race: Features a 4-Miler that is timed with awards.
• Fun Runs: The 2-Miler and kids run are NOT timed and will not have awards.
• Virtual Option: Run from any location, time yourself.
• Packet Pickup: Available at no extra cost, or can be shipped for an additional fee.

In-Person Race Details

• Chip-Timed: The Freedom Day 4-Miler will be chip-timed with awards for overall and 5-year age groups.
• Fun Run: The 2-Miler is a fun run/walk and is not chip-timed.
• Costume Contest: Dress in your best RED, WHITE and BLUE!!!
• Shirt Availability: Shirts in adult and youth sizes are available until sold out: register by 6/1/25 to guarantee your size.

Virtual Race Details

• Run Anywhere: Complete your race from any location at your own pace.
• Registration: Signup, download, and print your race bib.
• Submit Results: Complete the race and submit results between July 4, 2026, 12:00am- July 25, 2026, 11:59pm.
• Shipping: Packets are not automatically shipped: optional pickup is available.

Packet Pickup Information

• Pre-Race Pickup: Friday July 3rd from 4-7PM at REI, 11745 I-10 Suite 110, San Antonio, TX 78230.
• Race Day Pickup: McAllister Park from 6:00AM-7:30AM.

Race Start Times

• 7:00 AM: Li'l Firecrackers Kids Run (1K Run)
• 7:15 AM: 4-Miler Starts
• 7:20 AM: 2-Miler Starts
• 8:15 AM: 4-Miler Awards

Awards

Awards will be handed out for the 4-Miler only. Overall and age group awards in 5-year increments for the top 3. Must pick up award on race day: checks results before you leave, and have a friend pick up for you if you cannot stay for the ceremony.

Registration Information

If you registered for a Race and would like to view your registration, log into your account and go to your “Profile” page. This shows a list of all upcoming races.

Register Early: SARR members receive a 25% discount on the 4-Miler and 2-Miler with online registration thru 6/7/26 (automatically applied at checkout). Active-Duty Military get a $5 discount on the 4-Miler thru 6/7/26 (no other discounts apply: please show ID at packet pickup). Runners age 24 or younger and age 70+ get a 50% discount on the 4-Miler with online registration thru 6/7/26 (no other discounts apply).
