SARR Freedom Day Run-4-Miler, 2-Miler & Li'l Firecrackers Kids Run

Race Overview

Running=Freedom. Come celebrate your freedom with the San Antonio RoadRunners for our traditional 4-Miler on the 4th of July. Wear your best Red, White, and Blue for the Freedom Day 4-Miler, 2-Miler, and Li’l Firecrackers Kids Run.

Race Options

• Live Race: The live 4-Miler is the only event that is timed and has awards. The 2-Miler and kids run are NOT timed and will not have awards.
• Virtual Option: We have the virtual option if you cannot attend the live race. You can have your packet shipped (at extra cost) or you can pick up at in-person packet pick up (no extra cost).

In-Person Race Details

• Timing: Freedom Day 4-Miler will be chip-timed and awards will be given for overall and 5-year age groups.
• Fun Run: 2-Miler is a fun run/walk and is not chip-timed.
• Costume Contest: Costume contest after the race. Dress in your best RED, WHITE and BLUE!!!
• Shirt Availability: Shirts in adult and youth sizes available until sold out. We recommend registering by 6/1/27 to guarantee your shirt size.

Virtual Race Details

• Flexibility: The Virtual Freedom Day 4-Miler and 2-Miler are races that you can run or walk from any location and route.
• Race Bib: Signup, download and print your race bib, complete the 4-Miler or 2-Miler and submit your results.
• Finisher's Certificate: When you submit your time, you will also be able to download, print and/or share your Finisher's Certificate.
• Submission Window: Complete your race and submit your results between: July 4, 2027, 12:00am- July 25, 2027, 11:59pm.

Packet Pickup Information

• Recommendation: Highly recommended to pick up your packet before race day.
• Location: TBD.

Race Schedule

• 7:00 AM: Li'l Firecrackers Kids Run (1K Run)
• 7:15 AM: 4-Miler Starts
• 7:20 AM: 2-Miler Starts
• 8:15 AM: 4-Miler Awards

Awards Information

We will be handing out awards for the 4-Miler only. Overall and age group awards in 5-year increments for the top 3. Must pick up award on race day. Check results before you leave, and have a friend pick up for you if you cannot stay for the ceremony.

Discounts: SARR members receive a 25% discount on the 4-Miler and 2-Miler with online registration thru 6/1/27. Active-Duty Military get a $5 discount on the 4-Miler thru 6/1/27. Runners age 24 or younger and age 70+ get a 50% discount on the 4-Miler with online registration thru 6/1/27.
