SARR Freedom Day Run-4-Miler, 2-Miler & Li'l Firecrackers Kids Run

Race Overview

Running=Freedom. Come celebrate your freedom with the San Antonio RoadRunners for our traditional 4-Miler on the 4th of July. Wear your best Red, White, and Blue for the Freedom Day 4-Miler, 2-Miler, and Li’l Firecrackers Kids Run.

Virtual Race Option

We have the virtual option if you cannot attend the live race. You can have your packet shipped (at extra cost) or you can pick up at in-person packet pick up (no extra cost).

Race Features

• Events Offered: This race features a 4-Miler, 2-Miler, and a kids run.
• Timing: The live 4-Miler is the only event that is timed and has awards.
• Awards: The 2-Miler and kids run are NOT timed and will not have awards.

In-Person Race Details

• Chip-Timing: Freedom Day 4-Miler will be chip-timed and awards will be given for overall and 5-year age groups.
• Fun Run: 2-Miler is a fun run/walk and is not chip-timed.
• Costume Contest: Costume contest after the race. Dress in your best RED, WHITE and BLUE!
• Shirt Sizes: Shirts in adult and youth sizes available until sold out. We recommend registering by 6/1/25 to guarantee your shirt size.
• Finisher Medals: Finisher medals for all.
• Post-Race Food: Post-race food and refreshments.

Virtual Race Details

• Location Flexibility: The Virtual Freedom Day 4-Miler and 2-Miler can be run or walked from any location and route.
• Self-Timed: You get to run your own race, at your own pace, and time it yourself.
• Results Submission: When you submit your time, you will also be able to download, print, and/or share your Finisher's Certificate.
• Completion Deadline: Complete your race and submit your results between: July 4, 2026, 12:00am- July 25, 2026, 11:59pm.
• Shirt Availability: Mens or womens tech shirt. Youth sizes will be limited.
• Finisher Medal: Finisher medal included.
• Packet Pickup: PACKETS ARE NOT AUTOMATICALLY SHIPPED. PICK UP PACKET AT THE PRE-RACE PACKET PICK UP FOR FREE OR ADD-ON SHIPPING AT REGISTRATION TO HAVE YOUR PACKET MAILED.

Packet Pickup Information

Highly recommended to pick up your packet before race day.

• Date: Friday July 3rd from 4-7PM at REI 11745 I-10 Suite 110, San Antonio, TX 78230.
• Race Day: Packet pick up on Race Day, McAllister Park from 6:00AM-7:30AM.

Race Schedule

• 7:00 AM: Li'l Firecrackers Kids Run (1K Run).
• 7:15 AM: 4-Miler Starts.
• 7:20 AM: 2-Miler Starts.
• 8:15 AM: 4-Miler Awards.

Awards

We will be handing out awards for the 4-Miler only. Overall and age group awards in 5-year increments for the top 3. Must pick up awards on race day. Check results before you leave, and have a friend pick up for you if you cannot stay for the ceremony.

Discounts

Register Early. SARR members receive a 25% discount on the 4-Miler and 2-Miler with online registration thru 6/7/26 (automatically applied at checkout). Active-Duty Military get a $5 discount on the 4-Miler thru 6/7/26 (no other discounts apply: please show ID at packet pickup). Runners age 24 or younger and age 70+ get a 50% discount on the 4-Miler with online registration thru 6/7/26 (no other discounts apply).
