Race Description
- Scenery: The beautiful fall scenery of the St. Marys River, Memorial Park, and KC Geiger offers an exceptional run/walk route suited for everyone.
- Purpose: The SIDS Awareness 5k Run/Walk is an easy 5K path that will provide vital education about SIDS awareness and prevention.
- In Remembrance: This race is in remembrance of Landen Philpot, who passed away from SIDS at 3 months old.
- Scholarship Support: All profits from the race support the Landen Philpot Nursing Scholarship. There are (2) $1,000 scholarships awarded to area students pursuing a nursing degree focusing on obstetrics or pediatrics.
