Event Details
- Start Time: The event begins at 9:00 a.m. with over 1,000 runners participating in the area's largest run/walk – the Freedom 5K.
- Band Performance: The Lima Area Concert Band will perform at 8:00 p.m. in the Rotary Pavilion in Faurot Park.
- Fireworks Display: The area's largest fireworks display will follow at around 10:00 p.m.
- Awards: Medals will be awarded to the top three finishers in each age category.
Race Location
The race starts in Faurot Park on S Cole St near the intersection of Lakewood Ave.
Registration Cost
- Early Registration: Freedom 5K costs $20 through June 4th.
- Late Registration: After June 4th, the cost is $25.
- T-Shirt: Includes t-shirt if registered by June 15th.
Packet Pick Up
Race day registration is from 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. with the race starting at 9:00 a.m.
Awards by Age Group
Awards will be given for the following age groups: 9 & Under, 10-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, and 80+.
