Steamworks Half Marathon

🏔️ Race Overview

• Event: The Steamworks Half Marathon will take place in the San Juan Mountains on June 7, 2025.
• Distance: This high-elevation, 13.1 mile race will take place at 6,500 feet above sea level.
• Course: The course is a point-to-point route and has been certified by USATF!
• Finish Location: Runners will finish at the Durango Fitness Club on Florida Road.

🍕 Post-Race Celebration

• Party: After the race, enjoy an awesome party by the pool at Durango Fitness Club.
• Food: Enjoy food and drinks from Steamworks Brewing and Homeslice Pizza.
• Registration: The race is capped at 250 runners and it will sell out, so be sure to register as soon as possible.
• Start Time: The race will begin at 7:30 am (new start time this year 2025), with an additional start time at 7:00 am for those who need longer to complete the course.

🚍 Race Day Transportation

• Transportation: Bussed to the start line from the Durango Fitness Club on the morning of the race.
• Drop-off: You may also be dropped off by a friend or family member at Bakers Bridge.
• No Parking: There is no parking available at the start line. Please plan accordingly.
• Shuttle Service: Two buses and one 15-passenger van will shuttle runners starting at 6:30am on a first come first served basis.

📦 Packet Pick-up Information

• Friday Pick-up: June 6 from 2:00-6:00 pm at Durango Running Company, 473 E. College Dr.
• Saturday Pick-up: June 7 from 6:00 am-7:00 am at Durango Fitness Club, parking lot, 1600 Florida Rd.
• Early Start: Available for those needing additional time to complete the course, starting at 7:00 am.
• Awards: Early starters will not be eligible for overall or age group awards but will receive a finishers pint glass.

🚗 Parking Details

• Available Parking: Available at the finish line at Durango Fitness Club and overflow parking at Grace Church, 1440 Florida Rd.
• No Parking: NO parking will be available at the Start line at Baker's Bridge, DROP-OFF ONLY.

🏁 Race Course Details

• Distance: 13.1 miles from Baker's Bridge to the Durango Fitness Club along County Road 250.
• Traffic: The course will NOT be closed to traffic and will be marked with orange cones.
• Mile Markers: Mile markers will be set every mile, and porta-potties will be available at the start, halfway point, and finish line.
• Hydration: 6 Aid stations will be located approximately every two miles.

🏆 Awards and Post-Race Pool Party

• Finisher Awards: All finishers receive a custom pint glass.
• Overall Winners: Men's and Women's overall winner gets a gift certificate for a FREE pair of shoes from Durango Running Company.
• Age Group Awards: First place woman and man in multiple age groups win a Steamworks Gift Certificate.
• Pool Party: Please stick around and cool off at the pool party at Durango Fitness Club with lunch and beverage provided by Steamworks.
