The mission of the Kansas Infant Death and SIDS (KIDS) Network is to serve those who are or may be touched by the tragedy of infant death or SIDS by providing supportive services, community education, professional training and support of associated research.

🌟 Our Strategy

The KIDS Network’s strategy is to reduce infant mortality by collaborating with statewide initiatives to address prematurity, congenital defects, stillbirth and Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS). This is achieved through multiple innovative initiatives, including:

• Safe Sleep Community Baby Showers: Organizing events to educate the community.
• Cribs for Kids: Providing cribs to families in need.
• Safe-sleep education: Offering education for new and expectant parents via hospital, home visit, or birthing center.
• Safe-sleep training: Training healthcare and child care providers on safe sleep practices.

📅 Packet Pick Up

Pre-registered participants may pick up their packets at the KIDS office, 300 W. Douglas, Suite 145, Friday, April 24, 2026 from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. 5K timing chips will be distributed with packets. Packets will also be available at check-in on the event day.
