Purpose

• Charity Fundraiser: This 5k is a charity fundraiser for the family of Talon Lopez.
• Background: Talon is an 11-year-old boy with an anoxic brain injury from a near-fatal drowning due to an ATV accident.
• Medical Expenses: Profited money from runner and walker registrations and donations will go toward Talon’s medical expenses.
• Quality of Life: Some treatments are paid out of pocket to improve Talon’s quality of life.

Event Details

• Packet Pickup: Race day packet pickup will begin at 8:00 AM on race day Saturday, August 1, 2026.

Awards

• Top 3 Overall: Awards for Male and Female categories.
• Age Categories: Awards for top Male/Female in these age groups.
• Age Groups: 12 and under, 13-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70 and over.
• T-Shirt Guarantee: Runners must register by 7/17/26 to be guaranteed a race t-shirt. A limited quantity of extra shirts is available while supplies last.
