THE 46th ANNUAL TETON MOUNTAINEERING CACHE CREEK TO GAME CREEK TRAIL RUN

Saturday JULY 25, 2026 8AM MASS START. HIKERS 7:30am start. (and slower joggers- a 7:30 Slow pace start will be allowed for a few participants who anticipate being slower than the typical running group) All other participants must start at 8AM. Everything HAPPENS on Saturday July 25th whether running or Hiking! Virtual runners can run the course any time all summer long! THIS IS THE BEST TRAIL RUNNING RACE in JACKSON, WYOMING! Virtual runners, send us PROOF of your course time and see if you beat anyone on July 25 in your age group and you will get an additional medal.

Entry Fee

• Cost: $45 PRIOR TO JULY 15.
• Post Deadline: $50 AFTER JULY 15.
• Race Day Fee: $55 RACE DAY.

Race Location

Cache Creek to Game Creek Trail is an epic trail run with a 45-year-old history! The Start is below Snow King's upper parking lot. Park in the upper parking lot behind SNOW KING and walk down to the start. Join us at the dead-end portion of Cache Creek Dr. (no parking at the start). The race heads out Cache Creek Dr. to Cache Creek and up to the Game Creek bridge. Orange soccer cones and orange tape on trees mark the way. There will be a right-hand turn across the bridge to the pass and down to Game Creek. Limited parking at the finish. We encourage locals to carpool pick-ups. There will be a shuttle van or timing truck taking runners back to parked cars at the upper lot of Snow King if you don’t have a way back to town.

Course Details

• Distance: The race covers approximately 11 miles or 18k in the picturesque Bridger-Teton National Forest.
• Start Time: Gathering in the upper Snow King Resort’s parking lot around 7:00am.
• Facilities: A porta pottie will be at the start and another at the finish.
• Elevation: Climbs up Game Creek Divide (elev. 7,400 ft.) with a total elevation change of roughly 1,400 feet.

• Medals: Finisher medals and division awards.
• Post-Race Gather: We are working on a rendezvous after party for those that want to hang out together in Jackson on Saturday afternoon.

Bib and Packet Pick-Up

Friday, July 24 from 3pm to 6pm. Pre Race Pick up is in the TETON MOUNTAINEERING STORE on 170 N Cache, Jackson, WY 83001. Not mandatory. You can also PICK BIB up at the Starting line on race morning beginning at 7am.

After Party

AFTER PARTY!!! EVEREST MOMO SHACK. 245 W PEARL AVE JACKSON, WY 83001 5PM. Come to dine. Or taste Manjo Latcee, or taste a Momo, or great curry. Support the Sherpas. They are from Khumjung, one of the three highest villages before Everest Base Camp. And get excited about being in the mountains and having just run the race!

Awards

• Trophies: Top three trophies to Overall males and females.
• Age Divisions: TOP THREE Age Division awards in 10-year age spans.
• Special Awards: Plus award to Oldest finisher and Youngest finisher.
• Merchandise: Top Three male and female Overall winners also get a merchandise award.

Age Categories

• Medals for: 14 & under, 15 to 19, 20 to 29, 30 to 39, 40 to 49, 50 to 59, 60 to 69, 70-79, 80-plus.
• Finisher Gifts: EVERYONE gets a race FINISHER VISOR THIS YEAR and a CUSTOM FINISHER MEDAL.
• Drop Bags: Runners clothing bags may be dropped at the start to be brought to the finish.
• Shuttle: Runners are encouraged to find transportation back to the finish.

Registration

Because of the need to preserve these lands, there is a limit to the number of entries available. Register early and in advance to guarantee your running spot.

The Jackson Hole Chamber of Commerce can help answer questions regarding lodging and the wide variety of recreational opportunities that Jackson Hole, Grand Teton National Park, and nearby Yellowstone National Park have to offer. (307) 733-3316 Monday – Friday, 8 am – 5 pm MST. Plan ahead. This is a heightened and busy time of the tourist season.

Aid Stations

2 water stations are provided along the course. However, due to the backcountry location and rugged nature of this race, racers are encouraged not to depend on these stations as their sole supply of water. Bring your own water bottle or runner's vest to be sure!

Restrooms: One porta pottie will be at the start and one at the gate at Game Creek when you finish.
