All races (25K & 50K) begin in Thompson Park, just south of beautiful Butte America in the Eagles Nest parking area.
- Starting Point: Eagles Nest parking area.
- Course Highlights: Run on the Milwaukee Road (Trail).
- Landmarks: Historic train tunnels (headlamp recommended) and Pipestone pass (6,348').
- Scenic Views: Amazing train trestles and the rolling trails of Thompson Park.
