🏃‍♀️ Event Update

• Status: Update 8/21/2025 SOLD OUT! The Mermaid Run has reached capacity and no additional registrations are available.

📅 Race Details

• Date: The 2025 Mermaid Run is scheduled for Saturday, August 23, 2025 at Festival Park in Aberdeen, MD
• Start Time: 5K Race starts at 8:00 am, followed by the Mermaid Mile starting soon after.
• Timing: The 5K Race will be professionally chip-timed by Blue Cheetah Sports Timing.
• Awards: All participants receive a marathon-quality 5k finisher's medal and event shirt.

🏅 Course Information

• Certification: The course is USATF Certified - Fast and FLAT!
• Theme: Costumes are encouraged!
• Entertainment: We will have music and prizes!

🎗️ Beneficiary

• Proceeds: Benefit the Sea of Hope Foundation, a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization.
• Mission: Providing support and assistance to families who have suffered infancy and pregnancy loss.
• Scholarships: The foundation offers scholarships to bereaved siblings to support educational pursuits.
• Community Support: Aims to create a supportive community for grieving families.

🌦️ Weather Policy

• Event Status: This event is rain or shine: no refunds will be offered due to inclement weather or other reasons.

📦 Mailing Items

• Requests: If you cannot attend the live race and wish to have your items mailed to you, you must request prior to August 31, 2025.
• Shipping: A separate shipping fee will apply, and no arrangements can be made for in-person pickups.
• Donations: Any items not claimed or requested by August 31 will be considered a donation to the Sea of Hope Foundation.
• Size Limits: After 8/21/25 shirt sizes for swaps to Virtual or Mailouts cannot be guaranteed.
