Event Overview

Top of Tamarack is where mental health meets mental strength, all for a good cause!

Event Highlights

• Unique Experience: This is an event unlike any other! Participants run, hike, or bike up the mountain and soak up the epic views of Valley County!
• Distance Options: You can choose to tackle any distance along the service road leading up to the summit, with the maximum distance being 15 miles round trip.
• Elevation Challenge: A full 2,900 foot elevation climb to the Top of Tamarack.
• Token Milestones: Each mile post along your journey will be marked with a special token, reminding you that you have achieved a great distance and you are “mentally strong.”

A Special Cause

• Awareness and Recovery: Top of Tamarack is a suicide awareness and mental health recovery event.
• Honoring Lives: It celebrates those who are battling mental health challenges and honors those who have lost their lives to suicide.
• Community Impact: Race proceeds will benefit Gr8ter, Inc., a local non-profit organization that helps people struggling with mental health issues find hope and happiness through movement, connection, and purpose.
• Athlete Inclusion: It brings together athletes of all levels and gives them a purpose for moving forward.

• Registration Deadline: You must register by September 1st in order to be guaranteed race swag.
• Date: The race will take place on September 26, 2026.
