⛰️ Race Experience

The Urban Environmental Challenge is the first true trail race in the five boroughs!

Prepare for a rugged, technical trail race in historic Van Cortlandt Park in the heart of the Bronx.

• Distance: 10k race for runners only.
• COVID-19 Safety: While the COVID-19 vaccination is not required at this time, we ask that all participants remain at home if they are not feeling well.
• Fees: $35 pre-registration, $40 race day. Race day registration from 8:30-10:05am.
• Discounts: Special price for 10k runners 14-18 and Veterans: email vctconline@gmail.com for the discount code.

🎁 Prizes & Souvenirs

All registered participants will receive a race souvenir.

• Prizes: Male and female 10k winners will receive a delicious cake from our sponsor, Lloyd's Carrot Cake.
• Runner Up Prizes: Second and third place 10K runners and age group winners will receive Lloyd's Carrot Cake muffins.

🚌 Transportation

• Public Transport: Take the 1 Train to the end of the line at 242nd street, and walk 500 yards.
• Metro North: Runners can take Metro North Hudson Line to Marble Hill from 125th Street or Grand Central Station.
• Check Schedule: Check Metro North train schedule here.
• From Marble Hill: About a 1.5 mile jog to start of race or take the number 1 Train to the end of the line at 242nd street, Van Cortlandt.

🚗 Parking Information

Drivers: Free Parking is available at the Van Cortlandt Golf Clubhouse and all along Broadway.
