Race Details

• Time: 10:00 a.m. start time.
• Event: The Urban Environmental Challenge is the first true trail race in the five boroughs!
• Course: Prepare for a rugged, technical trail race in historic Van Cortlandt Park.
• Eligibility: 10k race for runners only.

Health Guidelines

• Vaccination: While the COVID-19 vaccination is not required at this time, we ask that all participants remain at home if they are not feeling well.
• Policy: Requirements and restrictions are subject to changes as the situation evolves.
• Commitment: The health and safety of all participants will remain our overriding consideration in any decisions.

Registration Fees

• Cost: $35 pre-registration, $40 race day.
• Registration Time: Race day registration 8:30-10:05am only.
• Discounts: Special price for 10k runners 14-18 (10k minimum age is 14) and Veterans.

Race Souvenirs and Prizes

• Souvenir: All registered participants will receive a race souvenir.
• Prizes: Male and female 10k winners will receive a delicious cake from our sponsor, Lloyd's Carrot Cake.
• Second and third: Second and third place 10K runners and age group winners will receive Lloyd's Carrot Cake muffins.

Transportation

• Public Transport: Take the 1 Train to the end of the line at 242nd street, and walk 500 yards.
• Metro North: Runners can take Metro North Hudson Line to Marble Hill from 125th Street, Grand Central Station, or anywhere along the Hudson line.
• Marble Hill: From Marble Hill, which stops at 225 Street, it is about a 1.5 mile jog to start of race.
• Driving: Free parking is available at the Van Cortlandt Golf Clubhouse and all along Broadway.
