HAMMER DOWN!

Saturday, April 25, 2026 at 8:30 AM we are dropping the HAMMER! Registration includes:

• Race Shirt: A gender specific, dry fit style race shirt.
• Finisher Medal: The second in a three-year series leading up to our 10th anniversary.
• Finisher Glass: A collectible glass for participants.
• Brews: Three draft brews from Peticolas Brewery!

Event Details

Food trucks will be on hand selling food, the band will be on stage, and you will be running or walking and enjoying a great day at the 9th annual Velvet Hammer 5K!

Don't want to run, but just want to join the party? We got that covered too with the new PARTY PASS which includes:

Run Club Challenge

We are also excited to announce our Run Club Challenge! Yep, we are calling all running clubs in DFW to compete for a happy hour at Peticolas!

• Fastest Club: Awarded to the fastest running club in the race!
• Largest Club: Awarded to the largest running club participating!

Race Day Schedule

• 7:00 AM: Event opens
• 8:30 AM: Velvet Hammer 5K Start (don’t be late, the start line is only open until 8:35 AM)
• 9:00 AM: Treble Hook hits the stage
• 10:00 AM: Awards
• 11:00 AM: Last call
• 11:30 AM: Event ends

Please note, THERE IS NO RACE DAY PACKET PICK UP! You can have your race packet mailed to you for $25 but you must be registered and have purchased the mail option by Saturday, April 10th. No exceptions!

• April 11, 2026: 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Peticolas Brewing Company, 1305 Pace Street, Dallas, TX 75201 (following the April social run)
• April 21, 2026: 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the On Your Left! Marketing & Events offices, 10606 Shady Trail, Suite 104, Dallas, TX 75220
• April 22, 2026: 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at TBA
• April 23, 2026: 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at TBA
• April 24, 2026: 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM at Peticolas Brewing Company, 1305 Pace Street, Dallas, TX 75201
