Back for its fifth year, Wabash Run The River is a chip-timed race that starts in the heart of Wabash County and runs along the Wabash River! From competitive athletes to leisure runners, this event appeals to everyone! Choose run or walk options from a 13.1 half marathon, 10k, or 5k that will take you along the scenic WABASH RIVER TRAIL located along the Wabash River. Cash prizes will be awarded to the top male and female half-marathon, 10K, and 5K finishers.

📅Event Schedule

• FRIDAY EVENING: Runner check-in/packet pick-up at Friendship Hill Inclusive Playground
• 5 PM - 8 PM: Wabash First Friday family-friendly street festival
• SATURDAY MORNING: Runner check-in/packet pick-up & day of registration at Friendship Hill Inclusive Playground
• 8:30 AM: Half marathon start: 8:45 AM: MyTeam Triumph start: 9 AM: 10K/5K start
• 11 AM: Awards: 12 PM: Course closes

• Participation Medal: Every participant will receive a Finisher Medal!
• Youth Pricing: 17 and younger are $25 😂 (ineligible for prize money)
• Stroller: Kiddos in strollers are free 👶🏻

📋Race Day Logistics

• CHIP TIMER: Crossroads Event and Timing ⏱️
• START/FINISH LINE: Friendship Hill Inclusive Playground 🏁
• TERRAIN: Mostly paved trail with a small section of the half on crushed gravel.
• PARKING: Several parking lots around Friendship Hill Inclusive Playground. Look for “EVENT PARKING” signs.

🛀Facilities and Weather

• Bathrooms: Portable restrooms available at Friendship Hill Inclusive Playground and each water station along the course.
• Weather: The event takes place RAIN OR SHINE with no inclement weather backup date.
• Notifications: If cancelation is needed due to unsafe weather, updates will be posted on the website and Wabash County Adventure Series Facebook.
• Refunds: No refunds are issued due to the advance purchase of hospitality services and support resources.

📈Results and Awards

• Results: QR codes to check results available near the finisher water station.
• Awards Ceremony: At 11 AM near the start/finish line, with cash prizes for the top female and male finishers for the Half, the 10K, and the 5K.
• Eligibility: High school and college athletes are ineligible for cash rewards according to IHSAA regulations.
• Course Maps: Digital course maps are available for the Half Marathon, 10K, and 5K.

💧Water Stations

There will be 4 water stations along the trail: located at 1 mile, 2 miles, 4 miles, 6 miles. Portable bathrooms available at each water station.

Bananas, Gatorade, and water will be available at the finish line.

👕Event Gear

Event muscle tanks provided for registrations through the April 30th deadline. Participants can check back during check-in at 11:15 AM for extra pint glasses or tanks available on a first-come, first-served basis. Thank you in advance for your understanding.
