42nd Annual Edition of America's oldest outdoor road skate. Choose from four distance options: 87 miles, 49 miles, 38 miles, or 10K.
- 87-mile Route: Travels from Athens, GA to Atlanta, GA. Completion time: 9 hours.
- 49-mile Route: Travels from Dacula, GA to Atlanta, GA. Completion time: 7 hours.
- 38-mile Route: Travels from Athens, GA to Dacula, GA. Completion time: 5 hours.
- 10K Loop: Saturday 10/19/2024 in Athens, GA. Completion time: 1 hour.
📅 Event Details and Schedule
- Friday, October 18th: Baggage Truck at 1084 Piedmont Ave NE from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.
- Friday Night Skate: Meet at 1084 Piedmont Ave NE at 6:30 p.m. for a recreational skate.
- Friday Night Bus to Athens: Leaves after the Friday Night Skate. Reservations required ($40.00).
- Saturday, October 19th: Athens 10K starts at 10 a.m. Packet Pick Up and Late Registration at the Classic Center in Athens from 3-6 p.m.
- Sunday, October 20th: The 87 and 38 mile skates start at 7:00 a.m. at the Classic Center.
🚨 Safety
- All Distances: Participants must follow cycling laws. Wear a U.S. CPSC approved helmet and wrist protection.
- Open to Quad Skaters?: YES! Skates are recommended for road skating with specific setup.
- Bus Transportation: Check the website for availability and fees.
- Registration: Late registration available on-site on Oct. 19th for the 10K. No event day registration for longer distances.
- Safety Note: Event considered advanced: skaters must be comfortable on rough surfaces and obey traffic laws.
