Shirt Registration Deadlines
- Half Marathon Shirts: Register by August 31 to receive a guaranteed UVB Long Sleeve shirt on race day.
- Post-Race Shirts: Registrations after August 31 will receive their shirts a month later.
- 5K T-Shirts: Must register by September 13 to guarantee a 5K T-shirt.
- No Surplus: We will not be ordering extra shirts, so sign up now!
Race Day Information
- Packet Pickup: Available during registration on Saturday and Sunday.
- Online Registration: Closes Friday at midnight.
- Start Times: 5K at 7:00 AM, Half Marathon at 7:10 AM: early start at 6:30 AM for Half Marathon.
- Registration Support: Well-supported course with volunteers available for safety and encouragement.
Race Courses
- Half Marathon Course: Paved trail through residential Cape Girardeau and scenic county landscape.
- Post-Race Amenities: Snacks, water, Gatorade, and locally brewed beer available at the end.
- Water Stops: Located every 2 miles initially, then every mile from mile 8 onward.
- Cheering Crowd: Crowd support waiting at the Osage Center for runners.
Race Options
- Virtual Option: Participants can run anytime between September 1 and September 30, 2026.
- City of Roses 5K: A flat, fast USATF Certified Course on a paved trail.
- Early Start: Available for participants who might take longer than 3 hours.
- Relay Teams: Gather a team of 3 for a fun relay experience.
Awards
- Half Marathon Awards: Overall Male, Female, Masters categories, and 5-year age divisions (0-19, 20-24, etc.).
- 5K Awards: Overall Male, Female, and 5-year age divisions.
- Awards Ceremony: 5K awards at 7:45 AM and Half Marathon awards at 9:40 AM.
- Non-Competitive Start: Participants at the 6:30 AM start are not eligible for awards but will receive finisher medals.
Event Schedule
- Saturday, September 26, 2026: Packet pick up from 3:00–6:00 PM at the Osage Center.
- Sunday, September 27, 2026: Packet pickup from 5:30–6:30 AM for both races.
- Start Times: Walkers and non-competitive runners at 6:30 AM, 5K at 7:00 AM, Half Marathon at 7:10 AM.
- Awards Ceremony: 5K at 7:45 AM, Half Marathon at 9:40 AM.
