💧 Refreshments and Support

• Water and Sports Drinks: Beverages will be provided before the race and at the water station at the halfway point.
• Cups: Orange paper cups for water and purple paper cups for sports drinks.
• Gear Check: Complimentary gear check for all participants.
• Distance Markers: There will be markers at every half mile of the race to indicate your progress.

🕒 Event Schedule

• Warmup Stretches: Starting at 8:30 am with a quick announcement.
• Packet Pickup: Thursday 9/18 from 4pm - 7pm & Friday 9am - 12pm.
• Pickup Location: 13307 Olde Western Ave St, Blue Island, IL 60406.
• Day of Pickup: Available from 8 am on the day of the event if you can't make the earlier dates.

🏅 Awards and Prizes

• Categories: Awards for first, second & third place in male and female categories.
• Overall Winner: A special prize for the overall winner.
• Awards Ceremony: Announcements of awards and prizes after the race is completed.

📏 Race Rules

• Prohibited: NO bikes, skates or scooters.
• Strollers: Permitted but will start with the walkers.
• Wheelchairs: Also permitted and will begin with the walkers.
• Chip Timing: Race will be chip-timed by Affordable Race Timing with results posted on a digital screen.

🚗 Parking Instructions

• Location: Parking for the 5K will be under the Western Ave bridge off Broadway Rd.
• Volunteers: Volunteers will assist with parking.
• Side Street Parking: May be available, but please adhere to restrictions.
• Safety: Be courteous and allow volunteers to help you.

• No Refunds: There will be no refunds for this event.
• Event Cancellation: If canceled, participants will receive an email notification with rescheduling information.
