SSgt Jason Hicks Memorial 5k

🏃‍♂️ Race Overview

We’re excited to announce the 2024 SSgt Jason Hicks Memorial 5k. This race is in its 12th year.

🎗️ Purpose of the Race

• Beneficiary: All proceeds benefit the SSgt. Jason Hicks Memorial Scholarship Fund.
• Honoree: Jason and five other US Air Force Combat Search and Rescue airmen were killed in action while on a humanitarian mission in Afghanistan in 2003 as part of Operation Enduring Freedom.
• Scholarship: Since then, the Scholarship has been awarded annually to a graduating senior from Central High School in Pageland, SC, which was Jason’s alma mater.

🎉 Community Engagement

This race offers a great course, but it is much more than a race. It is a community event with festivities for the whole family.
